Fruit Smoothies

These fruit smoothies can be made with any type of fruit, and they are so easy to whip up in the blender. My daughter and I often have them for breakfast.

-1 - 16 ounce package of any type of frozen fruit, thawed
-1 banana, sliced
-1/4 cup unsweetened yogurt
-1/2 cup fruit juice
-2 tablespoons powdered sugar (it blends better than the granulated sugar) or a sweetener (I use Splenda brand)

Put all the ingredients in your blender and blend in short pulses. Serve. If I want this recipe to make more than 2 servings, I add extra banana and more fruit juice. Also, you may need more fruit juice if your frozen fruit isn't particularly juicy or it isn't quite thawed. Our favorite is blackberry (sometimes I don't bother with the banana if I want a strong berry flavor), but we've made blueberry, raspberry, berry medley, peach and strawberry. My daughter likes pineapple, but I personally thought it was a little too sour--you might be able to perfect it with more sugar or banana.
