Crunchy Green Pea Salad

Crunchy Green Pea Salad

This wonderful green pea salad has the perfect combination of textures. It's creamy and that's one of the first rules for comfort food. It's yummy and that's definitely another rule. On top of that, it makes vegies (a not so comfort food) yummy so it gets extra points and that's why it's on the comfort food recipe site!

-10 ounces frozen peas
-1 cup chopped celery
-1/2 a head of cauliflower, chopped into bite sized pieces
-4 green onions, chopped (about 1 1/2 Tablespoons)
-1/2 cup sunflower seeds (you can also use nuts like cashews or pistachios too
-5 strips of bacon, fried and crumbed
-1/3 cup sour cream
-2/3 cup ranch dressing
-1/2 teaspoon mustard
-1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

In a bowl, mix together sour cream, dressing, mustard and garlic powder. Add the rest of the ingredients except the peas and mix to coat with dressing mixture. Rinse peas in hot water and drain. Add to the salad and toss gently. Chill to allow the flavors to blend.
