Maple Frosting

Grandma used to use her maple frosting for spice cake, but this delicious frosting works great for cinnamon rolls, cookies, and cupcakes, too. I like this frosting recipe the best since it's so versatile, and it's one of her easiest frosting recipes.

-1/4 cup butter, softened or room temperature
-2 teaspoons vanilla
-1/2 teaspoon salt
-3 cups powdered sugar (confectioners sugar)
-1/4 cup milk
-1/3 cup maple syrup

In a large mixing bowl, combine all the ingredients except the powdered sugar and the milk. Mix together with your mixer. Alternate adding the sugar and milk a little at a time, while you continue to mix. Keep mixing until the frosting is smooth and creamy.
