puppy chow recipe

Puppy Chow

Puppy Chow is a great snack recipe to make for kid parties and bake sales and it is so easy! You can fill plastic bags and tie them with festive ribbon for holiday bake sales and for Halloween, it fits great into the plastic monster hand bags in place of popcorn as you can see in my photo above!

-6 ounces chocolate chips
-1/4 cup peanut butter
-6 cups of Crispix cereal (Rice Chex, Wheat Chex or any similar type)
-1 cup powdered sugar (aka confectioners sugar)

In a kettle, melt the chocolate chips and peanut butter on low heat. Mix in the cereal and stir until it's evenly coated. Put powdered sugar in a large, gallon size plastic bag. Then add the coated cereal and shake until the powdered sugar is all stuck to the chocolate cereal.
