Strawberry Lettuce Salad

This delicious strawberry lettuce salad can be made any time you can find fresh strawberries. Even if they're not super ripe and sweet, fresh from your garden or local farm market, the sweet dressing will make up for that.

-1 bunch of romaine lettuce, washed and dried
-1/2 cup slivered almonds
-1 pint strawberries, washed and sliced
-3/4 cup salad dressing (I use Miracle Whip)
-1/8 cup milk
-2 tablespoons poppy seeds
-2 tablespoons raspberry vinegar
-1/3 cup sugar

Mix the first 3 ingredients up in a large salad bowl. In a separate bowl, mix the last 5 ingredients and pour over your salad. It's as easy as that. If you are making this for a large group, double everything but the lettuce (use about one and a half bunches) and if you're not serving the salad right away, don't pour the dressing over until you're ready to dig in because the lettuce starts to wilt right away.
