Boiled Chocolate Frosting

This boiled chocolate frosting is like pure heaven. You can't buy it in the store and I have yet to come across a recipe like it. The trick, grandma always told me, was a low heat and stir until your arm falls off. It is so worth it!

-2 squares bakers chocolate
-1/2 cup milk
-1 cup sugar
-2 tablespoons butter
-1 teaspoon vanilla

Put all the ingredients, except vanilla in a sauce pan and melt over really low heat, don't stir, but wait until it forms sort of a ball. Then, when all ingredients are melted, remove from heat and place kettle in a pan of cold water. When kettle is cold, add vanilla and stir like crazy until it gets creamy. Spread it on your cake before it starts to harden. Like I said, lots of stirring, and timing is everything with this recipe. Grandma used to put it on vanilla angel food as she thought angel food was healthy and would counteract the sinful chocolate. And of course, I just picked off and ate the chunks of chocolate after it hardened and left the angel food. This is really great on a bundt cake or cupcakes if you can spread it fairly fast.
